7.45 – 9.20 Uhr Arrival and Free Play
All children are welcomed and greeted in the group rooms of the 'Schnacks'. Children who arrive before 8:30 am have the opportunity to eat a small breakfast.
9.30 Morning Circle
Each group gathers in their group room for the morning circle. After a good morning song, the children are counted, they think about who is missing, discuss the daily schedule, reflect on the day of the week and the month, and/or talk about and sing current topics and songs.
From 10.00 Field Trips/Activities/Free Play
In the mornings, there is time to go outside, explore, play, run around, make music, and experiment. Our weekly schedule includes regular activities as well as changing and spontaneous offers that are based on the children’s current interests and needs.
11.15/12.00 Lunch
The Schnicks have lunch at 11:15 am. The Schnacks eat at 12:00 pm, after the children have set the table on their own. In both groups, the meal begins with a table rhyme or verse chosen by the children.
12.00/12.30 Nap time
Following independent table clearing and tooth brushing, quiet time begins at the Kinderladen. The Schnicks settle down for a nap, while the Schnacks make themselves comfortable on sofas or mattresses to enjoy a story or an audio drama.
14.30 Afternoon Snack
In the afternoon, the children enjoy a small snack of bread and fruit. When the weather allows, we like to have this snack at the playground across the street.
From 14.45 until 16.35
Afternoon Activities and Pick-Up
In the afternoon, the Schnicks and Schnacks come together again for shared care. The day ends for our Schnicks by 3:00 pm at the latest. All Schnacks are picked up by 4:35 pm, when the Kinderladen closes for the day.
